Air Compressor Field Service Technician

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Air Compressor Field Service Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and servicing air compressor equipment at various customer sites.


• Reviews customer service orders and inspects compressors accordingly for additional repairs or malfunctions.
• Communicates to the customer the nature of the repair and obtains final approval before performing repairs.
• Performs repairs and maintenance service work requested per approved quality and efficiency standards.
• Applies knowledge of warranty/repair work and preventive maintenance within the industry.
• Submits completed service orders and results to the Service Manager.
• Maintains work area and vehicle in a clean and orderly manner to meet safety requirements.
• Adheres to all company policies and procedures paying special attention to health and/or safety procedures.
• Reads and reviews assigned customer service orders if applicable.
• Diagnoses problems by examining compressors and troubleshooting for additional service work needed.
• Documents the nature of any service work needed and qualification for warranty work.
• Submits service orders to obtain customer approval before proceeding with repair.
• Disposes of waste materials properly into appropriate containers.
• Reports any problems or discrepancies immediately to the Service Manager.
• Review all service completed with the customer and have the customer sign off on completed work.
• Make recommendations for any service outside the scope of the current job for the future.

Knowledge, skills, and other abilities preferred:
• Electrical knowledge
• Plumbing knowledge
• Knowledge of motors and all aspects of how an air compressor runs
• Knowledge of reciprocating and rotary screw compressors

Starting salary is based on proven experience, knowledge, and skill base.
